Editorial Systems

Editorial systems are primarily dedicated to efficient content integration for the creation of complex documents and on-line media using industry standard desktop publishing applications. Editorial Systems provide a framework for efficiently moving assets through the key business areas from the beginning through the end of a project.

Editorial Systems use roles, groups and policies customized to your production model to route assets between writers, editors, designers and other staff members. This ensures that the right employee receives the right content at the right time in the publishing process. These systems have many built-in features that promote collaboration and communication between employees, resulting in faster production and improved products.

For the past ten years, Editorial Systems and workflow have been PCI’s core business. Focusing primarily on the Magazine and Newspaper markets, PCI has developed a strong and loyal customer base. As this market has expanded to include many new Adobe InDesign based solutions, PCI has made a concerted effort to understand and evaluate these systems. As many of our customers migrate to these solutions from Quark-based systems, our industry-leading QPS experience allows us to ease our client’s transition. PCI ensures that our client’s workflow maintains existing efficiencies and adapts to take advantage of the powerful features available in the Adobe Creative Suite of products.

Editorial Systems Partners

PCI has adopted an agnostic approach to the Editorial Systems market in which the focus is on the core competencies in editorial systems and workflow rather than on specific vendors or systems. This allows us to work with our customers in a consultative manner and help them to choose the system that best suits their requirements. PCI has close working relationships with the following Editorial Systems vendors:
